It has been a long time since I've written a journal to you all. I hope you are doing well.
Yes, I've jumped that fence and decided to create my own blog. It isn't your average blog where you complain, talk about things, say something silly (not the word I was thinking but I thought I would be nice). It is a specialized blog regarding inspiration, positive thinking and of course...Gods Word. I've just started it so it is in its infancy. If you have a few minutes, please check it out. I would love to hear from you. Any constructive criticism will be appreciated.
I would like to thank all those who wished me a Happy Birthday today. Even at 53, when things shouldn't bother me,....when you don't have a lot of watchers or pageviews it can be some what discouraging (thinking that no one really cares about your art or you as a person).
Thank you for making me feel good by simpy wishing me a Happy Birthday.
Today work was going well up until the last half hour of my day. At that point, stress kicked in after finding out that much more work was due before a soon approaching deadline. As usual, I took it in stride and in my personal organized manner, figured out a game plan to get it all done. As I was driving home, I switched on iHeart Radio and pick my John Thorogood custom station. Soon, Johns song titled "Bad to the Bone" came on. Something about the song pulled me in and the stress started leaving me while I rocked out to the tune. Even though I love all types of music, I thought it would be a good tune to share with you. If you have never heard it or would like to listen to it, click the link below. Let me know what you thing.
You might be the wife, Waiting up at night You might be the man, Struggling to provide Feeling like it's hopeless
Maybe you're the son, Who chose a broken road Maybe you're the girl, Thinking you'll end up alone Praying God can you hear me? Oh God are you listening?
(Chorus) Am I more than flesh and bone? Am I really something beautiful? Yeah, I wanna believe, I wanna believe that I'm not just some wandering soul That you don't see and you don't know Yeah I wanna believe, Jesus help me believe that I Am someone worth dying for
I know you've heard the truth that God has set you free But you think you're the one that grace could never reach So you just keep asking, what everybody's asking
Chorus
You're worth it, you can't earn it Yeah the Cross has proven That you're sacred and blameless Your life has purpose
And you are more than flesh and bone Can't you see you're something beautiful Yeah you gotta believe, you gotta believe He wants you to see, He wants you to see That you're not just some wandering soul That can't be seen and can't be known Yeah you gotta believe, you gotta believe that you Are someone worth dying for
You're someone worth dying for You're someone worth dying for

Jesus gave His life for us!
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
How can we respond to His doing this for us? We respond to His love by giving to others: families, church and community/world.
I look around and see my wonderful life Almost perfect from the outside In picture frames, I see my beautiful wife Always smiling, but on the inside
Oh, I can hear her saying
Lead me with strong hands Stand up when I can't Don't leave me hungry for love Chasing dreams, but what about us?
Show me you're willing to fight That I'm still the love of your life I know we call this our home But I still feel alone
I see their faces, look in their innocent eyes They're just children from the outside I'm working hard, I tell myself they'll be fine They're independent, but on the inside
Oh, I can hear them saying
Lead me with strong hands Stand up when I can't Don't leave me hungry for love Chasing dreams, what about us?
Show me you're willing to fight That I'm still the love of your life I know we call this our home But I still feel alone
So Father, give me the strength To be everything I'm called to be Oh Father, show me the way To lead them
Won't You lead me?
To lead them with strong hands To stand up when they can't Don't want to leave them hungry for love Chasing things that I could give up
I'll show them I'm willing to fight And give them the best of my life So we can call this our home Lead me 'cause I can't do this alone
Father, lead me 'cause I can't do this alone
"So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you." Deuteronomy 31:6
